Heritage and Culture Warwickshire have a range of activities which are just perfect for anyone looking for something fun and educational for their children to do when it’s cold and wet outside.

With everything from digital arts, dinosaurs, kite making and the even the chance to go behind the scenes at the museum stores!

 

GAME ON! First Birthday Party 

Market Hall Museum – Saturday 17th February 11am – 4pm

Celebrate the one year anniversary of the re-opening of Market Hall Museum with a day of exciting activities that explore heritage, arts and technology. Join digital and technology artists from BOM (Birmingham Open Media) and enjoy a variety of fun and engaging activities including 3D pen sculpture making, retro computer games, electronic activities and electric painting. Young people (aged 16-24) will also have the opportunity to get involved with further digital arts workshops and create work to be exhibited in the Museum and online. FREE event. Open to all ages, no need to book just drop in. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Arty Tots

Market Hall Museum – Tuesday 20th February 10am – 3pm

Come along for Spring-inspired craft activities including make your own kite and spring garden to take home. Suitable for under-5s, older siblings welcome. £2.50 per child, no need to book just drop in. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

 

Store Tour: Warwickshire’s Jurassic Treasures

Warwickshire Museum Stores, Montague Road, Warwick – Wednesday 21st February 10.30 am to 12.00 pm

Come and have a look behind the scenes at the Warwickshire Museum store at Montague Road. See some of the fossils and treasures of Warwickshire’s Jurassic past with Curator of Natural History, Jon Radley, and have a go at making your own Jurassic treasure to take home. Families welcome, suggested for ages 7+. £5 per attendee. Places must be booked in advance. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Book here

 

Dino Sounds

Market Hall Museum – Thursday 22nd February 10am – 3pm

Discover the sounds of prehistoric Warwickshire, record your own sound to add to the mix and have fun with our dinosaur family activities.  £2.50 per child, no need to book just drop in. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
